Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Cairo Airport – Cairo Hotel
Welcome to Egypt! Our representative meets you before the passport control of Cairo International Airport. Transfer to your booked hotel by our private air conditioned vehicle (accommodation not included throughout the tour). Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids & Sphinx – Egyptian Museum – Cairo Hotel
Your guide meets you in the hotel lobby to start with a tour to the Giza Pyramids. Khufu's pyramid is the northernmost and largest of the three. In classical antiquity it was considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and is the only one to have survived. Khephren's monument can be easily identified by the casing stones that still cling to its pointed top. The much smaller pyramid of Mycerinus had not been completed by the time of the king's death. Its intended granite revetment was only partially applied. The Great Sphinx is part of the funerary complex of Khephren. Its impressive leonine body with the royal head is sculpted in an outcrop of the native limestone. Part of the face, including the nose, has been deliberately damaged. The false beard has fallen off and is currently kept at the British Museum. Tour to the Valley Temple. Back in Cairo visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities near Tahrir Square in Cairo. The museum has the richest and most important collection of objects from Ancient Egypt in the world. The collection is constantly growing since the museum is the primary recipient of any finds made on the soil of Egypt. There you can contemplate the precious treasures of Tutankhamon, the most famous king of Ancient Egypt. The museum includes a Mummy Chamber with extra cost. Return transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Saqqara – Memphis – Cairo Hotel
Drive 30 km to Saqqara, an immense field of tombs, the final resting place of kings, noblemen, lesser Egyptians and mummified animals. Probably named after Sokkar, the mummified falcon-god of the dead, Sakkara served as the official necropolis of Egypt's main capital city, Memphis. Its most prominent landmark is the famous Step Pyramid which stands at the center of a vast quadrangular precinct dedicated to the afterlife of King Djoser of the Third Dynasty. Continue to the most important city of pharaonic times, Memphis, which was the administrative capital of Ancient Egypt, the main royal residence and the seat of both the northern Vizier and High Priest of the state god Ptah. There, you can contemplate the large alabaster sphinx, probably representing Amenhotep III from the 18th dynasty, and a colossal prostrate limestone statue of King Ramesses II from the 19th dynasty. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 4: Saladin Citadel – Old Cairo – Khan El Khalili Bazar – Cairo Hotel
Transfer to visit Saladin Citadel, located on the spur of the Muqattam hills. It was the seat of government and home of almost all rulers of Egypt. Enjoy visiting the Mohamed Ali Mosque which was erected within the walls of Saladin's Citadel. The alabaster Mohammed Ali Mosque built in 1824 is one of Cairo's landmarks. Continue to Old Cairo which has the remains of old Babylon's fortress walls partially surrounding the Coptic Quarter with its fascinating churches, the Hanging Church and the Ben Izra Synagogue. Then, tour to the Cairo's most famous bazaar, Khan El Khalili, located in the old area of Al Qahira. Overnight in Cairo

Day 5: Cairo Hotel – Cairo Airport
Depending on departure time transfer to Cairo Airport to board your departure flight.
