Day 1: Amman Airport – Amman Hotel
Welcome to Jordan! Our representative meets you with a signage in front of the immigration Amman Airport. Get to know your friendly, English speaking chauffeur. 45 minutes transfer to your hotel in Amman. Overnight at Toledo Hotel or similar for the 3* category, at Al Qasr Metropole Hotel or similar for the 4* category, at The House Boutique Suites or similar for the 5* category.
Day 2: Amman Hotel – Umm Quais – Jerash – Amman Hotel
Morning time we drive two hours from Amman to Gadara, known as Umm Qais. The town belonged to the famous Decapolis, a union of 10 cities, founded by Alexander the Great. Several poets and philosophers lived here, and this is the place where the Biblical miracle of the Gadarene swine took place. In Umm Quais you see ruins of theatres and a colonnaded streets and have an overwhelming view over the north Jordan Valley, the Golan Heights and the Sea of Galilee. Best time to visit is spring when the surrounding hills are lush and green. We continue then to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. The well preserved ruins had been hidden for centuries in sand, before the excavations started in 1925. Wander along the spectacular Forum, paved and colonnaded streets, the Nymphaeum, theatres and the Temple of Artemis. Return transfer to your hotel in Amman.

Day 3: Amman Hotel – Desert Castles – Amman City Tour – Amman Hotel
Start your round trip with the 3 most visited Desert Castles in eastern Jordan. Qasr Kharanah is built like a fortress. Qasr Amra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is notable for its zodiac dome and the early examples of Omayyad fresco paintings. The black basalt fort Qasr Azraq had been the base of Lawrence of Arabia in the winter of 1917. Back in the capital continue to the historical places in downtown Amman. You start with the visit of the Citadel to enjoy views over the hilly capital. On the Citadel itself you see remains from the Roman to the early Islamic period, like the Hercules Temple and the Umayyad Palace, and the small Archaeological Museum. Not far away we find the Roman Theatre, which can accommodate up to 6,000 visitors. In the heart of downtown we stroll the Souq, where to find fruit, vegetables, spices, herbs, clothes, household goods and more. Overnight in Amman.

Day 4: Amman Hotel – Madaba – Mt Nebo – Free Afternoon Dead Sea Hotel
Check out from hotel and drive to Mt. Nebo, believed to be the burial site of Prophet Moses. If the weather allows you will have like him a view of the Promised Land. In the remains of the Moses Memorial Church, constructed in the 4th century, you see beautiful mosaics. Short ride to the town of Madaba, known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaic art. Certainly you see the popular 6th century map of Palestine in the Greek Orthodox St. George’s Church. If open, visit to the St John’s the Baptist Church to climb the bell tower. Head to your hotel at the Dead Sea. Leisurely afternoon at the lowest point on earth with the opportunity to float in the salty waters.

Day 5: Dead Sea Hotel – Wadi Mujib Siq Trail – Dana Reserve Hike 2 hours – Petra Hotel
Short drive along the Dead Sea road to the Wadi Mujib Reserve entrance. Start your Siq Trail adventure and follow a water stream deeper inside the canyon, the sandstone cliffs towering above you. Depending on your fitness level scramble with the help of ropes boulder rocks to a waterfall. If the water level allows swim in a pool. After the visit have clothes and shoes and ready to change. Proceed to Dana Nature Reserve, Jordan's largest reserve. From the village, inhabited since more than 400 years by Bedouins, start a short hike about 2 hours. A local English speaking guide shows you part of the amazing area and tells you about the fauna and flora. After an hour’s drive reach Petra. Overnight at Town Season Hotel or similar for the 3* category, at Petra Moon Hotel or similar for the 4* category, at Movenpick Resort or similar for the 5* category.
Note: The Mujib Siq Trail is open from 1st April to 31st October only. During the rest of the year we visit instead the Hot Springs of Hammamat Ma’in.

Day 6: Little Petra to Petra Monastery Hike – Petra Hotel
We take the back route from Little Petra to the Monastery El Deir. In Little Petra, once a caravan stopping point, you see sandstone façades to a much smaller scale than Petra. We pass by the remains of the Neolithic village Beidah, walk across open farmland before we enter mountainous area. The path opens up to see the impressive façade of the Monastery El Deir, 45 meters high, cut in the sandstone rock. Explore the monument and its surrounding areas with great views over the Wadi Arava. Follow around 800 stairs down to the lower parts of Petra. Here you recognize the main trail, easy to follow until the main gate. Overnight Petra.
Note: The hike is moderate and takes about 4 hours to reach the Monastery. There is just one exposed area where it might be a little challenging for people being afraid of heights.

Day 7: Petra Visit – Wadi Rum 3 hours jeep ride – Wadi Rum Camp
Today visit the red rose city Petra again, but entering through the regular main gate. You follow the same trail like the day before, just from the opposite direction. With the local guide pass the canyon, the so called Siq, to see at the end the beautiful Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle before you return. Check-out from hotel and hit the road for 1.5 hours to Wadi Rum. The rugged scenery, the changing colours of sands and mountains, the serene atmosphere will make you understand why Wadi Rum is one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. By 4x4 Jeep tour you discover canyons, sand dunes and Nabatean rock inscriptions and a natural rock bridge. Dinner and spend the night in a tent. Overnight at Rum Stars Camp or at Sun City Camp.

Day 8: Wadi Rum Camp – Aqaba Suba Diving – Aqaba Hotel
In the morning you will be driven around one hour to Aqaba, Jordan’s gateway to the Red Sea. Meet your instructor, board the boat to join other divers. This is your first day of your three days Red Sea discovery with two dives per day. - The Gulf of Aqaba offers beautiful diving sites with 500 different fish species and 158 living coral species. Discover the well preserved reefs home to parrotfish, angelfish, butterfly fish, moray eels, lionfish and sea anemones, the clownfish and turtles. Day 9 and Day 10: Aqaba Scuba Diving – Aqaba Hotel
Aqaba has a total coastline of around 25 km, and you have two more fun-filled days to enjoy spectacular dives in the Red Sea close to the border with Saudi Arabia. There are around 30 diving sites, suitable for all levels, and the turquoise waters are clear to experience the wonderful underwater world. Beside the colourful hard and soft corals, depending on season you see various marine life. In February you might come across Mantas, in June whale sharks. On the sea-bed you spot a tank or a ship wreck. Lunch is served each day on board. Overnight in Aqaba.

Day 11: Aqaba Hotel – Amman Hotel
Free morning in Aqaba. Just relax at the beach, visit the Mamluk Fort and the archaeological dig Ayla, or stroll along the beach promenade and the local markets. Book a food experience with Aqabawi or just try the local Sayadieh dish at one of the fish restaurants. To a pre-arranged time your chauffeur picks you from the hotel lobby and takes you 4 hours back to the hotel in Amman.
