Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the Promised Land before he died. You visit the old monastery with interesting mosaic floors and overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land. Drive to the lowest point on earth the Dead Sea, where you have leisure time at the beach and the chance to float on water (showers and locker rooms are available). Proceed southwards to Dana hotel. Day 3: Trek: Dana to Wadi Malaga – Wild Camping
Meet your local Bedouin guide and start with your three days trek to Petra. You walk down through a diverse fauna and flora into Wadi Dana surrounded by sandstone scenery. It is part of Jordan’s largest nature reserve, which stretches from the Rift Valley to the lowlands of Wadi Arava. You reach the area of Feynan, once the centre of ancient copper mining. Cross Feynan and hike to the desert plateau of Wadi Malaga where we spent the night at a wild camp. Tents will be set up for you. Each tent offers space for 2 persons and is equipped with mattresses. No bathroom is available, water for washing will be provided.
Meals: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Dinner
Distance: around 23 km

Day 4: Trek: Wadi Malaga to Ras Al Faid – Wild Camping
Today a difficult part of the trail lays ahead of you. We continue to hike through the hamada landscape, a flat and stony desert, west from you the Wadi Arava and east from you Jabal Sharah are located. Then follow a steep, old Bedouin trail into the mountains offering stunning views towards the Wadi Arava Desert. The pass is known as Ras Naqb Shdeid. You managed the challenging part of the route and continue downhill to a valley with a water stream. Wild camping in the area of Ras Al Feid.
Meals: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Dinner
Distance: around 16 km

Day 5: Trek: Ras Al Faid to Little Petra Petra Hotel
Along shepherd trails we climb higher surrounded by dark, rugged mountains. Continuing downhill the landscape softens, and you inter a pale coloured sandstone area with interesting rock formations. After a while you recognize signs of increasing human habitation like Bedouin camps and flock of sheep. The path takes us to a saddle with great views of the Wadi Arava, then we continue towards Little Petra. Enter Siq Al Barid a narrow passage, see tombs, monuments, cisterns and water channels. It is believed Little Petra had been a caravanserai. Overnight at Town Season Hotel or similar for the 3* category, at Petra Guest House or similar for the 4* category.
Meals: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Dinner
Distance: about 21 km

Day 6: Petra Visit Wadi Rum Camp
Enjoy one day in Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. With the guide pass the canyon, the so called Siq, to see the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. After around 2 ours the guide says farewell to you at the restaurant area; free time to explore Petra on your own. We recommend to climb the 800 stairs to the Monastery El Deir. Drive 1.5 hours southwards to the protected area of Wadi Rum. There is the chance of experiencing a colourful sunset. Dinner and spend the night in a tent. Overnight at Rum Stars Camp or at Sun City Camp.
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

A long, 4 hours drive brings you back from the desert to the busy capital Amman. Overnight at Toledo Hotel or similar for the 3* category, at Al Qasr Metropole Hotel or similar for the 4* category.
