Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arava Border Wadi Rum 3 hours jeep tour Little Petra Petra Hotel
In the morning, around 09:00, meet our representative inside the Jordanian terminal of the Arava Border. After the border formalities drive one hour to Wadi Rum. Embark a 4x4 and with your Bedouin driver uncover more of the vast desert. The rugged scenery, the changing colours of sands and mountains, the serene atmosphere will make you understand why Wadi Rum is one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. The setting had been used for Hollywood movies. You see canyons, red sand dunes, Thamudic and Nabatean rock inscriptions and a natural rock bridge formed over centuries. Continue 1.5 hours to Little Petra, which gives you a glimpse what to expect the next day in Petra. You enter the site through a narrow canyon which opens up to carved buildings, tombs and water channels. 15 minutes ride to your hotel in Petra. Overnight at Town Season Hotel or similar for the 3* category, at Sella Hotel or similar for the 4* category, at Marriott or similar for the 5* category.

Day 2: Petra Tour  Petra Hotel
Today visit the highlight of Jordan, the red rose city Petra! The Nabateans settled here more than 2,000 years ago, making it an important junction for the spice and silk routes. You are able to start as early as 06:00, but early birds, don’t forget to ask the hotel for a breakfast box the day before. Meet your local guide and pass the narrow canyon, the so called Siq, with its colourful sandstone. At the end you will be rewarded with a view of the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. After around 2 hours the guide says farewell to you at the restaurant area. You have free time to explore Petra on your own, for instance climb the 800 stairs to see the massive Monastery El Deir. Return to the main gate. Overnight in Petra.
Meals: Breakfast

Day 3: Petra Hotel  Kerak King’s Way Madaba Mt Nebo Dead Sea Hotel
Check out from hotel, drive to Kerak to visit the large Crusader castle built in 1132/34 by King Baldwin I. of Jerusalem. Travel along the famous ancient caravan route the King's Way, mentioned already in the Old Testament. We have a short stop in Wadi Al-Mujib, a great wide valley with magnificent geological formation. In the town Madaba see the popular 6th century map of Palestine in the Greek Orthodox St. George’s Church. Short ride to Mt. Nebo, believed to be the burial site of Prophet Moses. If the weather allows you will have like him a view of the Promised Land. In the remains of the Moses Memorial Church, constructed in the 4th century, you see beautiful mosaics. Transfer to your Dead Sea hotel. Overnight at Ramada Hotel or similar for the 3* category, at Holiday Inn or similar for the 4* category, at Hilton or similar for the 5* category.
Meals: Breakfast

Day 4: Dead Sea Free Day – Dead Sea Hotel
With 400 meters below sea level the Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth. Since the days of Herod the Great people had been visiting the area with its curative secrets. The air is rich in oxygen, the sunlight is UV filtered and low humidity is prevailing despite rather high temperatures. It is a perfect place to relax at the pool or beach. Spend the day at leisure, just lay back and float in the salty waters and use the mineral-rich mud at the shores to pamper your skin. Overnight Dead Sea hotel.
Meals: Breakfast

Day 5: Dead Sea Hotel  Amman Airport
Depending to your departure transfer to Amman Airport to say goodbye.

Reviews
219 Harleen L   04/07/2017 10 / 10
I researched a number of tours and operators before I selected Booking Jordan. My selection was based on the dates I had available and the areas I wished to visit. In a number of emails I outlined the sites I wanted to see and with the expert assistance of a member of their staff an itinerary was put together that met all my objectives. In 5 days, with an English speaking driver, I visited Wadi Rum, Petra, Karak, The Dead Sea, Madaba , Mt Nebo, just to mention a few. The quality of the driver certainly added to the experience and It was all a wonderful tour I will remember. I would recommend it to everyone.
