To those who have a limited budget, public minibusses from Amman driving to Wadi Musa departs from Mujamaa Janobi or Wehdat Station in east Amman from 09:00 am until 04:00 pm & from Wadi Musa to Amman from 06:00 am to 01:00 pm. This public bus has no fixed schedules & only leaves when the bus is full.
There is no public bus directly to Petra from Dead Sea, Madaba or Wadi Araba Border.
Public buses from Aqaba leaves from the market in the town center Mujamaa Albassat station. The travel time from Aqaba to Petra is about 2 hrs. There are no fixed schedule & bus leaves when it’s full.
Public bus leaves from Rest House in Wadi Rum Village at 08:30 am but this is flexible, depending on the season the bus may not run if there are not enough passengers. The approximate travel from Wadi Rum to Petra is 1.5 hrs.
